Security Guard Job Description

The Lake Superior Zoo in Duluth, MN is accepting applications for a Security Guard to provide security for the visitors, staff, animals and property of the Lake Superior Zoo. This is a part-time,  year-round position averaging about 24 hours per week with variable work hours. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED, and be willing to work a flexible schedule, including overnights, weekends, and holidays. Law enforcement or professional military security training and/or education are preferred. Applicants must be committed to the zoo’s mission to provide close-up animal experiences which inspire connections to wildlife and action toward conservation in our region and around the world.
