Boo at the Zoo Countdown Kickoff

Welcome to the Lake Superior Zoo Blog!Boo at the Zoo Logo 2015

We are kicking off our blog with a countdown to Boo at the Zoo. Now less than 30 days away and counting!

I know what you’re thinking and, yes, it’s that time of year again. Autumn colors, warm sweaters, pumpkin spiced everything, and actual pumpkins, which you can see at YOUR Lake Superior Zoo.

Costumes and Candy

Pumpkin patch with Giant Pumpkin

Pumpkins from 2015. Are you hoping for another giant pumpkin this year? We sure are!

We all know the best part of fall is Halloween (at least that’s my favorite part). Boo at the Zoo is the Northland’s premier Halloween event for families. Jeanne Ryan from Mix 108 agrees with us here. Join us as people scamper, scurry and pounce within our safe and boo-tiful grounds.

Average attendance is 10,000 people and we never run out of candy for the thousands of “little pumpkins” who enjoy trick-or-treating.

Halloween Activities

• Too-many-to-count Treat Stations
• Hundreds of Animals
• Food Vendors
• Face Painting

Animals like to get into the Halloween spirit too!

Animals like to get into the Halloween spirit too!

October 15 or October 22
10:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.

Presale tickets are only $9 and good for either date. Buy them now at area Super One stores, through our website, or at the Tiger’s Paw Gift Shop at the Lake Superior Zoo.

What would Halloween at the zoo be without animals?

Keep an eye out for Halloween surprises within our animal exhibits. Special toys and treats help our animal friends celebrate the holiday. Animal enrichment is not only good for the animals, it’s fun for everyone!

We can’t wait to see everyone who makes Boo at the Zoo a part of their Halloween plans! I’m definitely looking forward to the costumes…and the candy.
