Zoo Program Registration

Before registering for a program, please read the information below. If you have any questions, please contact Jessamy Schwartz via email or at 218-730-4500 ext. 205.

Registration closes at 2:00 the business day before the program or once the program is full. When a program fills, the program disappears from the online registration system and you will need to call to be put on the waiting list: 218-730-4500 ext. 205. If a spot becomes available, we will call the first person on the waiting list and they will have 24 hours to respond. If we do not hear from that person within 24 hours, we will call the next person on the waiting list.

If you need to renew your zoo membership, select “member” while registering to get the discounted member rate and you will be able to purchase a membership during check out. If you are not interested in a membership, be sure to select “I do not want a membership” during check out.

Waivers & Check-in

After registering, you will receive more information via email a few days before the program date. For drop-off programs, you will need to print the waiver attached to the email and bring it with you to the zoo. If you don’t have access to a printer, we will have waivers available when you drop your child off. Please make sure the adult who drops your child off can provide the information requested on the waiver.

During fall, winter and spring, pick up and drop off will be in the Onsgard Classroom on the lower level of the Main Building. Please check in with the gift shop before coming downstairs. If you arrive early, please wait upstairs until at least 10 minutes before the class begins. Adults and families visiting zoo grounds before, during or after a program will need to pay admission if they are not zoo members.

Zoo teachers use a check-in/sign-out sheet for your child’s safety. Please sign your child in when you arrive at the zoo and sign her/him out when you pick up. If a different person will pick up your child, please inform the teacher and your child before you leave.
