Safari Cafe

You’re sure to find what you’re looking for at the Safari Café! Try the “good for you and good for the planet” all beef grass-fed hot dogs, gluten free chicken strips, veggie burgers, locally made pizza and organic tortilla chips with pico de gallo. Enjoy our very own “Trouble’s a Brewin” (get it? Trouble the bear!) blend of organic, fair-trade coffee.

Our “grab and go” offerings include ice cream, fresh popcorn, ice cream treats, 100% juice fruit snacks, cookies, crackers, cotton candy and more! Most of these selections are also offered at the Train Depot as well.

The Safari Café hours of operation vary and are effected by attendance. Typically, it will be open daily from 11am – 3 pm during the summer months. Please feel free to inquire with our admissions staff about today’s anticipated hours of operation upon arriving at the zoo.

Are You Allergic to Peanuts?
The Lake Superior Zoo (including the Safari Café) is NOT a peanut-free facility. In addition to some of our animals being fed peanuts and tree nuts, our guests are allowed to bring food onto the grounds of the zoo, some of which may contain nuts.
