Zoo Troop (Ages 6-8)

Whether you embark on “Animal Adventures” or become a “Zookeeper for a Week,” all of these 4-day camps include exciting games and activities, art projects, and close-up animal encounters.

Zoo Troop Camp sessions run for four days (Monday-Thursday). Morning sessions start at 9:00 a.m. and end at 12:00 noon. Afternoon sessions start at 1:00 p.m. and end at 4:00 p.m. Full day sessions are from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and include an additional fee for lunch supervision and activities. Full day participants should bring a bag lunch or plan to purchase lunch at the Safari Café.

Zoo Troop camps are designed for children who have completed grades K-2.
If a camp is full, you can join the waiting list through the online registration process.

Animal Adventures: From the tropics to the deserts, we’ll adventure through the animal kingdom to learn about animals that live all over the world!

Zookeeper for a Week: Get a behind-the-scenes look at animal care and enrichment as you experience what it’s like to be a zookeeper for a week!

Things with Wings: Take off for a week with the animal kingdom’s true fliers: birds, butterflies, bugs and bats!

Pet Pals: Learn about pet care while helping take care of the zoo’s animals. Create toys for your pets and learn training tricks that will help you and your pet bond for life!

July 15-18, 2019 | 1:00-4:00 p.m.
Where the Wild Things Are: Meet many of the zoo’s wild things while also exploring the creek and trails for wild things you can find in your own backyard!

July 22-25, 2019 | 1:00-4:00 p.m. (FULL) (No full day option available this week)

Animals in Art: From painting to play dough, learn about the zoo’s animals through the eyes of an artist. Discover how animals make art and create your own artwork to take home!
